International wheelchair basketball tournament, WBT Lahti 2008
General information about the tournament
Lahti YMCA is arranging an international Wheelchair Basketball Tournament for clubs (WBT Lahti 2008) in Lahti , Finland . The games will be played in sporthall of Lahti on 18.-20.4.2008. Tournament is for the 8 teams.
Entry to the tournament has now started and ends 31.1.2008. Participation fee is 200 € / team. The teams can confirm their participation by paying the participation fee. However, the last day for paying the participation fee is 31.1.2008. Booked accommodation, transportation and meals will be charged separately.
Medals to the best three teams. No money prizes.
The tournament will be played with the official wheelchair basketball rules. The total amount of points on court at the same time is not allowed to exceed 14,5. Young (under 18 years old) and woman players can have -1 point from their classification. There can only be two 4,5 point (able-bodied) players on every team and only one of them on court at the same time. Every player must have a valid playing license or classification.
The tournament organizers and the Finnish basketball association will arrange all referees to the tournament. Therefore none of the teams taking part in the tournament need to bring their own referees.
